6 Month Check-Up

Well Austin had his 6 month check-up today. All went well, the doctor said he was doing great. He weights 18 pounds and is 28 1/8 inches long. His weight is in the 75th percentile and his height is in the 95th percentile. I don't remember the size of his head but it was in the 90th percentile too.

No new pictures yet but I'll be uploading some soon.

All,
Weighting in at 8 pounds and 8 ounces and 21 inches tall is our newest addition Austin Boyle!!!

We got to the hospital at 7:00 AM. Stacy didn't deliver Austin until 8:50 PM.

We didn't get to our room until 11:00 PM.

Stacy didn't get anything to eat until after midnight.

It is now almost 1:30 AM and Stacy is sound asleep. I'm about to join her but she really wanted me to get these pictures out. Sorry I didn't respond to any text messages but it was busy pretty much the whole time. I'll add more later.

While talking about "our" son, I had to share our grandkids with you.. I KNOW.. that sounds funny... we have two grandson's- Nicole, John's daughter, has a son, Tyler, and my daughter, Tiffany, has Jacob who was just born in January....

You must think we are crazy- most of our kids are grown, and here we are...39 and 42 having a child. Well, the answer is.. we are CRAZY! ha ha.... but, in a good way...
We love our life...

Austin's Room

John is working on Austin's room.. and he is about halfway there. We decided to go with a baseball theme.... since that is one of John's favorite sports. I think it's going to be really cute.

The bottom 1/2 of the room is navy blue- top is a cream color with trim in the middle. The border is at the very top- baseballs, of course. I am having so much fun buying all the things to go in the room and I am NOT done yet...

Well.... we are no closer to coming up with a boy name. Thank Goodness we have several months left to decide:

I like: Andrew, Luke, Matthew, Spencer, Alex

He likes: John III, Joseph, Jack

We are no where close to agreeing... HELP.... we have looked at the baby name sites and still have not gotten any closer...

maybe B.B. Boyle isn't so bad...

ha ha.. Just joking...

Help us with suggestions...

Oh, and Amy- I like AUSTIN too... does John? NO Imagine that...

Ashtyn wants ALEC... Bryan- doesn't care....
Britt has actually emailed me a few cute names... most of which I have run by John already and he says no...

hmmmmmm... tough decisions.

Surprise!

Well.... we found out today that we are having a SON! I think all three of us were surprised. For some reason (John, myself, and Ashtyn (sister) all thought GIRL... we were shocked. I am glad I put off shopping until today.. :) And shopping I did. We have a room full of blue things now. I can't wait to start the baby room. Now, the process of picking out a name comes... we are having a little difficulty with this one. Any suggestions.... would be helpful.
We are all very excited and can't wait for him to come...

We have an appointment for a ultrasound at 1:30 to find out the sex of the baby. I wanted to hold off on finding out but every female in the family thought we must know now!
